INVITATION
The PATINS Project is currently accepting presentation proposals for their 2008 State Conference. The conference focus is on local, state, and national perspectives on providing accessible instructional materials in the classroom for ALL students.

General Session presentations are 45 minutes in length. In submitting a paper for consideration, speakers agree that their session may be scheduled at any time, on any of the Conference days, at the discretion of the conference organizers.

Workshop Proposal Guideline – must address accessible instructional materials or accessing instruction in the classroom.

      Workshop Strand: 

Workshop Title:  (Titles should be engaging, while conveying the subject matter, and use 12 words or less)
Workshop Description:  Clearly describe your workshop in 75 words or less stressing the importance of the topic and the content of the presentation.
Workshop Learning Objectives
Grade Level(s): Please indicate the grade level(s) your content would be applicable for:
  Preschool-Kindergarten
  1st - 5th
  6th - 9th
  10th - 12th
Workshop Abstract:  Describe your workshop session in detail (include objectives, workshop description, expected outcomes, and/or skills and knowledge the attendees will be able to demonstrate after your workshop session (300 words or less).

All accepted presenters' conference fees will be waived; other expenses will be the responsibility of the presenter.

Workshop proposals must be submitted electronically through our website, include all the required information provided above and received by the due date (June 1, 2008).

Speakers agree that their submission will be published in the Conference Compendium and that handouts may be available on the PATINS web sites for a limited time following the conference.  Authors retain copyright of their work.

Hard copies of handouts will be provided as a courtesy to the presenter if a digital version of the handouts is received by PATINS by October 10, 2008. Presenters will be responsible for providing their own handouts if the digital version is not received by the October 10th deadline.

It is understood that, if selected by the conference organizers, permission has been given by program presenters for audio and/or videotaping and photographs for use on the PATINS web site.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Each proposal will be reviewed for the following elements:

Notice of selected and non-selected general session proposals will be
sent via email to the primary presenter by June 17, 2008
